We’re Sara and Shamon Shamonki - longtime residents of Pacific Palisades and passionate believers in the power of community.

For years, the Palisades has stood out as a unique part of Los Angeles, a peaceful, close-knit village nestled between the mountains and the ocean. It’s a place where natural beauty meets everyday life, where you can hike canyon trails in the morning, enjoy ocean views in the afternoon, and greet familiar faces at the market or school pick-up. What makes this town truly special, though, isn’t just the setting, it’s the people.

Why We Created This Project

On January 7, 2025, our family lost our home in the devastating Palisades Fire. Nearly everything we owned was gone in an instant. But what we gained in that moment was something far more powerful: a renewed sense of what truly matters.

In the days and weeks that followed, we were surrounded by kindness… from friends, neighbors, and even strangers. In turn, Shamon supported affected homeowners with guidance, referrals, and helping families find new temporary places to call home. We experienced firsthand the strength of this community, and it reminded us that home isn’t defined by walls, but by the people who stand with you when it matters most.

That experience inspired The Faces of Pacific Palisades - a tribute to the resilience, generosity, and spirit of those who give this town its heart and soul.
